Rolex: I might be wrong, but I think you’re missing the whole point here.

The watch was improperly serviced by an authorized service center and it was discovered when the watch was due for the next service(by another authorized service center), not by Rolex themself. Patek Philippe: Tried it on last week at my AD and I like it, except the strap(which is I think the main novelty here).

We both agitat it will get dirty quickly. But the watch looks great. Congratulations!

Patek Philippe: The problem is not that watches are sold sealed!

The problem is that people are willing to pay more for such watches! In my case, as many times a sealed watch was offered(with a premium), I always told the dealer to cut and keep the plastic, so there you have the solution…
